Sports USA NFL and college football play by play announcer Tom Dillon passed away on December 1 at his Phoenix home. Dillon, 65, joined Sports USA Radio in 2005 after spending 20 years as the voice of the Arizona State Sun Devils, five more years with Fox Sports Arizona. He was also the play-by-play man for the Arizona Cardinals for 12 years.

"Tom wasn't only a great broadcaster, he was a great person" said Larry Kahn, President of Sports USA Radio. "In an industry dominated by big egos, he was a true rarity. Everyone loved Tom Dillon. I can't put into words how much we'll miss him."

Dillon was named Arizona sportscaster of the year 17 times by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Dillon was 65. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, two daughters and four grandchildren.
