Roman Oben joins Sports USA Radio as a sideline reporter for the 2009 season. Oben spent twelve seasons in the NFL, playing left tackle for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Diego Chargers. He started 135 out of 149 games and was a member of the Buccaneers Super Bowl XXXVII Championship team.

Born in Cameroon, West Africa, Oben moved to the United States At the age of 4. He played college football at the University of Louisville, earning his bachelor's degree in economics. While playing for the Giants, he took advantage of his time off the field and earned a master's degree in public administration from Farleigh Dickinson University.

In 2003 he founded the Roman Oben Foundation, which works to promote the positive development of youth and families through football. Oben has returned to Cameroon several times to visit schools and an orphanage, providing them with much-needed textbooks and financial assistance. In 2007 Roman Oben was given the 2007 Big Brothers and Big Sisters Man of the Year award.
