Troy West

Player Profile

Position:
Sideline Reporter

Troy West has been with the company since its inception in 1998, patrolling the sidelines in some of the biggest regular and post-season games each season. West's experience on the field, though, is not limited to broadcasting. An All-America in college, Troy was a linebacker and defensive back at Mt. San Antonio Junior College and USC, leading the Trojans in interceptions in 1982 while earning All Pac-10 honors. An 8th round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 1983, West played professionally in the NFL (also as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles) and the USFL. During his 3 year career with the L.A. Express (where he was a teammate of future Hall of Fame QB Steve Young), West set a league record that will never be broken--intercepting a pass in 5 consecutive games.
